Our client, an international automotive manufacturer has a new position for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Stamford, Lincolnshire. The role reports to the site Finance leader and is a key member of the Stamford Plant Finance team supporting closure of month end accounts, responsibility for all activities in conjunction with the accounts payable cycle and contributing to intercompany accounting and monthly balance sheet reconciliations. We seek an experienced individual who has worked in an accounts capacity ideally for a manufacturer. Key

Responsibilities:
Supporting month end financial close activities for the Stamford plant; for example, month end accruals, prepayment and adhoc journals Responsible for the timely resolution of invoice errors within the Oracle Financial system. Invoice errors may include part number errors, date tolerance issues etc. Contributing for reconciliation of Intercompany accounts, including timely processing and management of invoices and resolution of aged invoices. Responsible for the production and maintenance of reports to support the pre-defined financial metrics of the Stamford site Ad hoc information for Corporate Returns and support the General Ledger Team as and when required. Build and develop strong cross functional working relationships with other company entities to share areas of best practice Effective cross functional working within the Stamford business Required qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English AAT desirable but not essential Required experience: Experience Background in Finance ideally in the Manufacturing environment preferred Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable Minimal relevant professional work experience Finance and basic experience in month end close process.
