We are currently recruiting for a confident and approachable Assistant Management Accountant to join our small finance team. Reporting directly to the lead management accountant, this is a great opportunity to gain experience in various areas of the finance function. For the right candidate, this role will offer rapid career progression. Study support will also be provided subject to successful completion of probationary period. Responsibilities Supervising and assisting with the day-to-day transactional processing within the department Supervision of sales and purchase ledger processing and monthly closure Assisting with the preparation of comprehensive management packs (P&L, Balance Sheet) and associated reports on a timely basis each month Cost analysis and KPI reporting Preparing, reconciling and submitting the UK and International VAT and Intrastat returns Assisting with weekly payment runs and ensuring correct authorisation procedures are followed Developing management reports using Business Intelligence report writing software Analysing large volumes of transactional data from databases using data reporting tools using macros/programming to manipulate data. The successful candidate will have: Financial Software/Systems proficiency Part-Qualified AAT or CIMA. Excellent knowledge of Excel. Ability to complete high volume transaction reconciliations.
