REED Accountancy Reading are working with a well-established Newbury based client with their search for an Accounts Assistant to support them on a 6 month contract. This will predominantly be working within Accounts Payable, however Accounts Receivable knowledge would also be highly desired. If you are looking for a new challenge we want to hear from you Working within a team of 3, you would be responsible for the full Purchase Ledger on a daily basis. Reporting into the Finance Controller your duties will include: Purchase Ledger - matching, batching and coding Post invoices Raise weekly and monthly payments Checking supplier code and supplier invoice number Perform monthly reconciliations and reports Petty Cash Supporting Sales Ledger Experience with Sage and strong Excel are desirable. We are looking for someone who has over 2 years experience in Purchase Ledger, has experience with manual invoice processing and can hit the ground running from day one, the ability to work with your own initiative would be a great advantage.
