Are you currently working in Practice, ideally for a Big 4 Firm, and looking for a 1st time move into Industry? Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading PLC in Chesterfield to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant for their finance team. Purpose of the position: Ownership of all accounting and reporting requirements for a newly formed parent company Ensure financial results are reported on-time and to a high standard to the business and the Group HQ Support the Head of Finance to establish an agile proactive team that supports all Group entities for all Accounting activity (including Treasury and cash management) Key
responsibilities:
Review and challenge results, ensuring there are a continual monitoring and improvement in the controls environment Develop and deliver balance sheet analysis and reporting to support the needs of the business Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the business and other Corporate functions (Taxation, CoSec, Group Reporting, Corporate Controlling) to ensure service levels are established, targeted and monitored Work collaboratively with external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely data provision and proactive, sustainable resolution of any audit findings Required skills: Technical accounting skills - IFRS/Group Restructures US GAAP knowledge preferred Accounting for financial instruments (swaps/hedges) preferred Excellent communication skills Proven ability to adhere to strict deadlines Knowledge of SAP preferred Preferred qualifications/experience: ACA, ACCA This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical Accountant to develop their accounting skills further in an Industry setting, with great long-term career development.
