Thriving and busy services business based in Central Reading has an interesting and varied opening for an outgoing and confident Assistant Accountant. The role reports to the FC and is responsible for a wide range of tasks including: Balance sheet control account reconciliations (intercompany, VAT, payroll, AP, AR, Bank) AP for ledgers in the UK, Germany and the USA Bank oversight, control and reconciliations in 3 currencies Preparation of payroll information for the outsourced payroll bureau Sales and COS reconciliation, sales performance analysis Identification of variances to budget, investigation and reporting Month-end assistance, pulling together elements of the management info pack This is a new role due to continued growth and offers strong career advancement opportunities and, for the right person, the chance to take on early responsibility. We are looking for a bright person with an enquiring mind and an outgoing and confident personality, comfortable dealing with all levels of staff, suppliers and customers. Ideally, you'll be a PQ accountant and will have experience of a multi-currency accounting environment and at least intermediate Excel skills.
