The Business My client is a progressive Sales and Distribution company based in Wolverhampton. Due to continued growth and acquisition, they are looking for Commercial Analyst to work as part of this vibrant Finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be an integral part of this established Finance function, who offer continued support and career development. The Opportunity The Commercial Analyst will provide analysis across revenue, operations, and commercial activities to find ways to improve financial performance. Using Excel, mathematical models and predictive economic research to identify patterns and variances in financial activity, and then use this analysis to suggest policy changes and goals to improve profits. Main responsibilities include: Sales analysis across multiple product lines, and regions, including annual and quarterly sales analysis Analysis of profit margins, working closely with commercial managers to guide decision making on pricing and stock Business modelling to determine sales performance and forecasts Identification of business opportunities and recommendation of changes to policy or strategy, reporting and presenting findings to senior stakeholders Competitor and market performance and trend analysis, providing management information to determine and support decision making Responding to adhoc requests for information from the business and senior management Working with business functions to improve data quality across the business Working alongside the design team to support the implementation of a new ERP & Reporting platform Personal Profile Ideally you will be Degree qualified in Mathematics, IT, Economics or Statistics; highly computer literate, advanced in the use of Microsoft excel. You will have effective communication skills, good analytical skills, be self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work in a `hands-on' capacity and as part of a team. We are looking for someone who offers good numeracy and literacy skills, with a high level of accuracy with a good eye for detail.
