Payroll Clerk Based: Bolton

up to £28k. 3 month contract with longer opportunities possible I am working with a fantastic, progressive company based in Bolton actively looking for a Payroll Clerk to join them. Having placed 3 staff members with the business before I know them extremely well and they are a supportive, stable company Established over 100 years ago, they are a global leader in their industry, offering products and services worldwide. Due to an internal promotion this new role is available Role: Processing payroll monthly (timesheets & salaried) Processing high volume of new starters and leavers Full control of payroll from start to finish - collating hours from timesheets/clocking in system and feeding into SAGE & Excel manually. Producing monthly reports for the directors - summary of earnings, taxes, deductions Management of tax, National Insurance, deductions, SSP, SMP, P60s and P11D's Manual calculations for payroll SMP, SSP Updating records daily with exemptions, deductions and department transfers Produce reports and managing pension uploads monthly Payment of payroll to all staff by BACs, dealing with HMRC direct Resolving discrepancies with collated information fully analysed Supporting wider finance team when required - full training available Please note, to be considered for this role you MUST: Have previous experience of managing payroll end-to-end (knowledge of pensions, deductions etc is essential) Immediately available or on a short notice period.
