ArtisHR are currently supporting an exciting business who are recruiting for a Payroll Manager, this is a permanent full time post paying £32-40,000 and based in Swindon. We have an exciting and immediate opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our busy HR team. Reporting to the Strategic HR Business Partner, this role will have overall responsibility for: To line manage the Payroll Specialist on a day to day basis To oversee the process of a weekly payroll for 1000 employees To ensure the monthly commission runs are completed to company deadlines Review and calculate statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP Check and audit the weekly payroll run Raise the weekly BACs file To complete year end procedures, P60 and P11ds Review and pay 3rd party suppliers accurately Preparation of payroll journals for finance Enrolling colleagues into Childcare Voucher Schemes/Tax free childcare Process average holiday calculations To sign off, audit and review payroll Produce and submit management information reports and data analytics when required Ensure that any company benefit programmes, i.e. hospital plans, pensions, etc. are managed efficiently and effectively Co-ordinate, organise and implement ongoing projects across the business Working as part of the HR team, the Payroll Manager will be required to undertake and support a variety of business projects, as and when required, together with any ad hoc duties that may arise. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate a "can do" attitude and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You'll be accurate and able to organise and prioritise your own work load, often within a pressurised environment and to tight timescales. Whilst a full-time role, the candidate needs to be flexible with their working hours. The ability to multi task is definitely a bonus.
