Accounts Payable Clerk Lincoln, Full Time, Permanent Please contact us for salary details Our client, based in Lincolnshire, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy office on a full time, permanent basis. You will be part of a team responsible for a range of tasks and reporting into the Accounts Payable Manager. Role and Responsibilities As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices efficiently. You will ensure approvals and processes are within policy guidelines and standards, whilst handling and resolving related queries. Your duties will include, but not be limited to: Processing supplier invoices effectively and accurately, accounting for the correct treatment of VAT and CIS deductions Ensuring that all purchase invoice transactions are correctly approved, coded and input onto the accounts payable system Daily sorting and distributing post to the relevant departments and managers, dealing with any accounts payable issues and invoices as they arrive Managing the accounts inbox Answering the telephone in a polite, timely manner, assisting the caller and their enquiry Assisting with the preparation and processing of electronic payments Setting up new suppliers according to the company policy Working with the department managers and the Senior Management Team to ensure invoices are approved in a timely manner Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with any issues that may arise from them Adhoc filing and other administrative tasks as required Candidate An ideal Accounts Payable Clerk candidate will be able to show the following experience / qualities: AAT qualification preferred Experience of working in a busy finance department Excellent organisational skills and ability to strive under pressure Experience of data entry on an accounting system, dealing with suppliers and liaising with internal departments A commitment to provide high levels of accuracy and timeliness An understanding of the process of data entry and familiarity with MS Excel, Word and Outlook An excellent telephone manner with good attention to detail Good administrative skills and a flexible approach to work Ability to form positive relationships with colleagues Thank you for your interest in this vacancy and good luck with your application.
