Part time 4 days per week £28,000
(may consider 3 days pro rata)


What you'll need to succeed

Our client is seeking a Finance Controller/Company Secretary to join their membership organisation, this role will report into the CEO of the Association and covers a number of aspects, office management, book keeping, and day to day accounts.

The main responsibilities will be broken down as follows

Accounting and Finance

  • Maintain books of account to an accurate and high standard
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual accounts, both management and statutory
  • Manage the bank account and their reconciliation
  • Manage cash flows (actual and forecast) and foreign exchange
  • Mange the credit control and active chasing of outstanding payments
  • Manage the payroll supplier/provider and ensure NI and other payments are managed correctly
  • Administer the Company Pension Scheme
  • Manage and file quarterly VAT returns
  • Plan and prepare budgets alongside the CEO
  • Manage matters with HMRC as required
  • Arrange the annual audit of accounts and manage the supplier as necessary


Company Secretary duties.

  • Take minutes at board meetings, prepare and circulate
  • Prepare board papers as required and as directed by the Board/ CEO
  • Manage and update Companies House with required changes as necessary
  • Maintain in-house company secretarial records
  • Lodge annual filings with Companies House
