A permanent Financial Accountant job paying up to £42k per annum for an organisation in Stourport-on-Severn.

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a large manufacturing organisation based in Stourport-on-Severn. Due to internal promotion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join their team as a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be required to support financial accounting duties for the shared service Finance team with your main duties and responsibilities as follows:

• Supervision of 4 staff - 3 x PL and 1 x CC
• Responsibility for the Centre of Excellence financial support
• Preparation and submission of consolidated VAT return submissions
• Bank account reconciliations
• Group netting payments
• Payroll processing, support and payroll deduction payments
• Management of expense policy
• Monthly group reporting - actuals, forecasting and budgets
• Provide support for Finance Manager when necessary
• Inputting of manual journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Liaise with external/internal auditors
• Liaise with Management Accountants to support working capital

What you'll need to succeed

• ACCA/ACA qualified
• Previous experience in a similar Financial Accounting role
• Excellent IT skills with strong working knowledge of MS Office
• Integrated ERP experience (advantageous)
• Confident and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• A methodical and organised approach to work
• High attention to detail
• Analytical in approach to problem solving
