Financial Planning Manager
A qualified and experienced interim accountant is needed for a three month temporary role in Witney.
Your new company
My client is the largest housing association and provider of social housing within West Oxfordshire. They also have properties in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. Based in Witney, they manage more than 4,500 homes - including houses, flats, bungalows and housing for over 55s. they also support 135 leaseholders and over 200 people living in shared ownership homes. Over the next five years, they aim to build 750 new homes.
Your new role
To be responsible for financial information relating to management accounts, performance and Treasury matters for the Association. This includes responsibility for assessing the impact of these issues on the future financial position of the Association.
To be responsible for coordination and production of KPI reports and management accounts for the Board.
Experience of preparing financial accounts, budgets, and management accounts
Experience of working in a housing, development, building or construction organisation
Experience of using computerised financial systems and Microsoft Office and an ability to learn in-house systems
Knowledge of legislation relating to accountancy practice and knowledge of Data Protection legislation
Ability to lead effectively a small team to ensure that they are motivated and that they consistently meet the desired level of performance.
Strong analytical skills
Well developed written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate complex matters effectively to a broad range of people.
Excellent presentation and influencing skills
Ability to meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work, work flexibly and prioritise own workload
Ability to work as part of a team
A high level of self-motivation and the ability to maintain and keep up to date with appropriate CPD requirements
A sound understanding of how KPIs drive measurement, together with a proven ability to drive forward a performance improvement approach delivering value for money
What you'll need to succeed
Fully-qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ICAEW, CIPFA, CIMA, or ACCA is essential, with significant experience PQE in a Senior role.
Maths and English GCSE/O Level passes at Grade C or above or equivalent level of knowledge acquired from the on-the-job training or experience
