Growing FMCG business based in Exeter, looking for a Finance Director in this newly created position.

Client Details

This is an exciting new opportunity with a growing FMCG business in Exeter. The client is already successful in their field and will experience significant growth over the next few years. They are looking for an ambitious Finance Director to join the team, you will be an integral part of the business and be a key part of the future growth and success. This is a newly created role and will suit someone looking to take the next step up to Director level.


As the Finance Director you will have full management of Finance, HR, Commercial. You will ensure that all statutory and other accounting and regulatory requirements and GDPR are met.

Lead the development of the company's financial controls and management reporting and ensuring effective implementation and communication.

You will contribute to the overall work of the organisation as a member of the management team and The Board of Directors.


The ideal candidate will be:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified.

Proven experience both operationally and from an audit standpoint, of monthly and year end accounting processes and statutory returns.

Knowledge of the Company Secretarial role.

Proficient in use of IT including MS Office with the ability to produce clear reports.

Structural and working knowledge of SAGE 50.

Previous experience of working within a small growing business that demonstrates proven skill at leading people and systems focused service delivery.

Ability to provide a high level of both verbal and written communication including analytical presentation for The Board and Shareholders.

Capable of leading and developing annual budgeting and periodic forecasting in line with the Business Plan.

Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure that risk is managed and ensure that organisation is provided with effective and efficient corporate support systems to facilitate high performance.
