The role reports to to the Financial Controller.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the Financial Controller with the day to day, monthly, quarterly  and year end accounts closing

Support the AP and AR processes in absence of AP/AR specialist

Manage the Inter company transaction processes and reconciliations with the US and UK sites

Prepare the Fixed Asset Journals - Depreciation, Asset Additions and disposals

Perform General Accounts Analysis and monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations

Bank Reconciliations

VAT Returns, CSO and Intrastat filings

Maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures

Assist the Financial Controller with with the Year End close and External Audit processes 

Assist the Financial Controller with Capital Expenditure requests

Education and Experience

Qualified Accountant with 2 to 3 year demonstrated experience in general accounting in a fast pace environment

Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practice

Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable 

Proficiency in relevant ERP software and MS Excel

Excellent written and verbal communications skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels of the Cork site
