Job titleJunior Credit Controller Location - St. Neots Reporting relationships Reporting to the European Financial Controller Qualifications/Experience - GCSE qualified - Grade C or above in Maths and English - Exchequer experience would be desirable but not essential. - Intermediate IT skills on MS Office Suite. Job purpose - To assist the finance department by ensuring customers pay on time and minimising bad debts. Job dimensions - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with customers and colleagues. - Proven ability to work flexibly and accurately with a changing workload, and provide cover for colleagues - Robust ability to deal with changing work demands and foster a flexible approach within the team - Proactive and motivated approach to role - Diligent, accurate and efficient processing of tasks is essential. - Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the Company's products services and administrative systems, understanding what the customer requires and being able to recommend the Company's best available solutions to meet the customer's needs Main responsibilities - Work harmoniously with colleagues and customers to achieve and exceed expectations - Dealing with invoice queries, including liaising with other departments as required to resolve - Ensure all customer payment enquiries are answered within 24 hours. - Chasing overdue debt via telephone and email. - Manage customer accounts, ensuring any overdue accounts are suspended. - Credit check all new customers - Liaise with solicitors to pursue debts on behalf of the Company through the Courts - Oversee the running of monthly debt reports - Receive telephone payments Communication and working relationships The post holder will be a member of the finance department and is required to establish effective working relationships with various departments, customers and suppliers.
