Trade Compliance Support Officer;

Glasgow; Duration: 6 months; £11.40ph; 37 hours per week. We are looking to recruit a temporary Trade Compliance Support Officer to be based at our client's site in Glasgow.The purpose of the role is to offer support and assistance to internal customers across all functions, who require advice and guidance with Trade Compliance queries, issues etc and to support the Trade Compliance Operations Manager in maintaining appropriate records, registers etc. Key Tasks and Accountabilities Responding to queries via messenger, email, or phone Providing assistance for questions and problems Using the UK OGEL checker and other SPIRE related tools as required Following up with internal customers to ensure full resolution of issues Requesting feedback and/or monitoring calls and other methods of correspondence to improve training methods Running reports to analyse common complaints and problems Supporting the UK Trade Compliance Operations Manager in: Maintenance of registers, records etc. required for internal and external audit Compilation of KPIs for the Trade Compliance function Returns related to OGELs, IPR, OPR, Intrastat etc. Assist as required with UK Trade Compliance activities, including, but not limited to: Preparation for and support of internal and external audits of the Trade Compliance function as required To meet defined annual objectives for the Trade Compliance team To advise the UK Head of Trade Compliance of any situation liable to lead to a possible dispute or violation in relation to any compliance issue Monitoring, management and reporting of any actions required in order to achieve improved compliance within the function and other departments. Skills and Attributes required Strong Customer Support focus Previous import/ export or logistics experience would be an advantage. Ability to communicate effectively to help internal customers resolve issues and feel satisfied with the experience Ability to troubleshoot and assist with Trade Compliance related issues Experience of working in a help desk environment Strong computer skills Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy Committed to seeing tasks through to completion Confidential and diplomatic Interpersonal sensitivity Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure Good team player and strong decision making ability within area of responsibility Self-starter with initiative and innovative spirit Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels Experienced user of Microsoft Office tools and preparation of KPIs Morson is acting a an employment business in relation to this vacancy This job was originally posted as
