This Management Accountant - MUST be from Restaurant/Hospitality. The role will involve providing accurate and timely Management Accounts for a multi site operation. You will be heading up a team of 3 staff and providing ongoing support and analysis to facilitate a deeper business understanding.

Description

As the Management Accountant - MUST be from Restaurant/Hospitality your duties will include:

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the day to day and long term compliance of financial procedures
  • Being first port of call for all General Managers of restaurants for any queries
  • Leading other members of finance team in their roles
  • Making payments from the bank account when needed
  • Responding to all site queries on a day to day and period by period basis
  • Overseeing Franchise business and helping colleagues with transactions

Weekly responsibilities:

  • Updating cashflow forecast and presenting to FC/FD with analysis
  • Ensuring the completion of and publication of weekly reports
  • Month end responsibilities:

  • Period end routines in line with business expectations
  • Preparation and ownership of management accounts reporting pack (including profit and loss, Balance sheet and cashflow statements)
  • Analysis of Cost of Sales, labour, margins and profitability
  • Balance sheet reconciliation for all account cost lines on a monthly basis
  • Management of key cost lines, including but not limited to accruals and prepayments
  • Give support and assistance where required to the Operations team, providing a more meaningful understanding of site accounts
  • Business partnering with the site management teams to produce site specific P&Ls and other key analysis
  • Input into forecasting and management of the budget process
  • Reconciling Management Accounts of associated companies with third party accountants
  • Other duties:

  • Assisting with year-end statutory audits
  • Preparation and ownership of quarterly VAT returns
  • Leading a team of 3 to deliver timely and accurate management accounts whilst supporting their career development.
  • Ad-hoc projects and requests from Finance Director / General Managers
  • Profile

    As the Management Accountant - MUST be from Restaurant/Hospitality you will:

    • Be ACCA/CIMA Part qualified
    • Have worked in a Management Accountant role for at least 1 year
    • Have worked in the Restaurant/Hospitality industry
    • Have managed staff
