As our Head of Finance you'll be responsible for our governance and strategy, financial planning, investment decision making, management, statutory and project accounting as well as banking and funding. Some of the things you'll get involved in... Governance & Strategy Coordinate and prepare Board papers (inc the external MSP Shareholder Board) Financial Planning Responsible for the preparation of the Manchester portfolio business plans on a quarterly & annual basis Monitor and provide insightful commentary on the performance against those plans including delivery milestones Provide input into the SciTech Group cashflow forecast on a weekly & monthly basis to ensure appropriate and timely Shareholder equity drawdowns can be made. Investment Decision Making Work with the Commercial and Development teams to create, maintain and challenge investment appraisals to enable the Board to compare/review investment opportunities including rate of return, cash requirements, P&L and Balance Sheet impacts. Work with the central Bruntwood Development team to scrutinise and challenge centrally serviced Development appraisals and ensure seamless incorporation into the SciTech business plan. Work closely with the Commercial team to assess and challenge customer deal parameters and monitor the impact versus business plan. Management Accounting Manage the preparation of & comment on flash monthly management accounts. Manage the preparation of & comment on full quarterly management accounts. Co-ordinate preparation and collation of KPI data including liaison with the relevant operational teams. Review and follow up of issues raised on production of accounts and forecasts. Ensure all appropriate financial accounting procedures are in place. Statutory Accounts Provide input to the Bruntwood Group Statutory Reporting Team to assist in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts. Provide support to the Bruntwood Group Statutory Reporting Team in dealing with audit queries. Project Accounting Work closely with the SciTech B&C team to manage the project approvals process including assistance in preparation of and review of project Sign Off packs. Monitor and report in capital spend across the portfolio ensuring timely provision of information from the Bruntwood central services team where relevant. Provide input into and manage the financial aspects of the monthly major project reporting process. Banking & Funding Prepare funding applications including business case and financial projections - including senior debt & development finance requirements. Assist the Finance Director in the process of negotiating and agreeing the legal documentation supporting funding facilities. Other Ad hoc shareholder reporting requirements Review of prospective customer and supplier financial statements where necessary If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, read on...
