We are excited to be working exclusively with Flexicare (Group) Limited to support the recruitment of a new Group Financial Accountant. We are looking for a high calibre qualified accountant with a strong academic background, relevant finance experience and ambition to grow with the business. Background Flexicare is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of medical devices with a focus on anaesthesia, respiratory and urology products. Flexicare sells to over 105 countries and has operations in 12 countries and inhouse manufacturing in China and the UK. Flexicare (Group) Limited is a privately-owned company operating from Headquarters North of Cardiff. Flexicare has been trading since 1989 and has experienced significant global growth in recent years, both organically and through acquisition. Flexicare employs over 750 people worldwide with around 50 people located in its HQ. Role Following an internal restructure, Flexicare has an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Group Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this role is focused on the preparation of robust and timely financial information to facilitate decision making within the Group. In addition, you will be required to design, manage and report on projects being undertaking by the Group. This includes system and structural improvements as well as assisting with the Group's M&A activity. With the ability to work within a fast paced, deadline orientated environment, you will be confident in presenting yourself to senior management and will be able to challenge ideas when needed. Responsibilities will include: Learning and understanding the activities and markets of the Group to provide timely financial analysis and develop strong working relationships with our global team Manage the production of monthly management accounts and input into Group reporting through identifying key trends and making recommendations Liaising with Group subsidiaries, co-ordinating and helping to implement and improve Group accounting policies and procedures Managing costings and identify any potential issues before they arise. Analyse variance postings and proactively remedy any issues Playing a key role in projects across the Group, including project management and financial modelling to assist in decision making Assisting with corporate finance activities of the Group including working on live deals as well as post-deal integration Write commercially focused reports to aid decision making for the Board of Directors in an accurate and timely manner Working with the Group's external advisors, including legal, audit and tax advisors The candidate: Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Strong financial and accountancy skills with the ability to look at the commercial message behind the numbers Experience working in industry is desirable as is practice experience with a top accountancy firm High level of IT/system competence, including accounting/ERP software experience and strong Excel skills Experience of working with SAP Business One is ideal Benefits: Competitive Salary depending on qualifications and experience Bonus and Benefits Clear career progression This role will suit an individual who has a solid and proven finance background, a strong work ethic and who is looking to develop and grow with the organisation long term.
