Personal Tax Manager, Newbury, Up to £50k


Your new company
This well-established and growing firm of Chartered Accountants in Newbury is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Tax Senior or Manager to join their Private Client tax team. You'll be joining a Tax Department which offers compliance and advisory services to individuals, trusts and SME's.

Your new role
You'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of approximately 200 clients, being the main point of contact for client queries and attending client meetings. You'll be preparing and submitting self-assessments for clients and advising them on payment amounts and deadlines. You will be responsible for all day to day tax compliance affairs for your clients and related advisory matters. You'll be advising clients on tax planning opportunities, in addition to undertaking tax planning research under the Tax Director's guidance. You'll also be managing the P11D process for the firm's clients as well as reviewing and assisting in the preparation of corporate tax returns.

As the most senior member of the team, reporting in to the Tax Director, you will also be supervising, reviewing and coaching other members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you'll be part or fully CTA (or equivalent) qualified with practical tax experience and a good knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax rules. As the point of contact for clients and colleagues alike, you will be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels and have a team-player mentality. Driven to progress within your own career, you'll be keen develop yourself further by independently studying UK's tax legislation changes. Previous supervisory experience would advantageous.
