To own all aspects of the overhead (non-stock) purchase ledger ensuring invoices are appropriately recorded, processed and paid on time. To work as part of a three person team responsible for producing month end management accounts and assisting with invoice queries.

My client is a luxury department store based in Central London.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Timely registration and processing of invoices (< 3 days)
  • Drive the authorisation process to ensure invoices paid on time (<30 creditor days)
  • Own quality of cost centre coding and financial record narrative
  • Ensure completeness of liabilities through regular supplier reconciliations
  • Processing of staff expense claims, ensuring that they are paid on time
  • Completion of monthly KPI's to report on the status of overdue invoices by department
  • Assist with month end management accounts

Profile

Key skills:


Relevant qualification - Degree, AAT part qualified or commencing professional studies (ACCA or CIMA)


Good understanding of accountancy and book keeping


Prior experience in a Purchase ledger clerk role


Intermediate Excel Knowledge


Retail or Hospitality finance experience


Microsoft AX09 / D365 experience
