Commercially focused Management Accountant role focused on the financial analysis and forecasting activity of a quickly expanding, award winning technology chain.

Client Details

This IT & Technology company have experienced great growth and success with punchy long term goals. This Ely, Cambridgeshire based business is requiring a strong part qualified or finalist accountant with a strong process driven, commercial management accounting track record and the ability to work closely and interface effectively with owners and non-finance stakeholders, to continue and become an integral part of the Company's expansion.

Description

New lead finance role within this division of the IT & Technology business, reporting to and working closely with the Senior Finance management team to manage the business through this busy expansion period and onwards. The transactional accounting is largely outsourced to the finance function of a retail provider so the role can concentrate on providing financial and commercial support to the business with the following duties and responsibilities;

  • Weekly & Monthly Management Accounts and KPIs
  • Financial Business Partnering
  • Group accounting submissions
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Procedures and controls
  • Cost Saving verification and analysis

Profile

Experience, skills and characteristics of the desired Management Accountant

  • Degree level education or similar level experience, someone stepping up into this role will be considered with the right base Management Accounting and Financial Analysis experience.
  • Part Qualified or finalist CIMA/ACCA.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Effective time management and organisation.
  • Interpersonal skills, building positive working relationships with other departments
  • Interest and passion to integrate themselves in the business to gain a thorough knowledge of the businesses products, processes, and development.
  • Preparation of accounts- accruals, prepayments, review of overheads
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Analysis of complex data sets.
  • Passionate and driven to achieve business development, thrives in a fast paced working environment.
  • Can meet deadlines of longer term projects and initiatives as well as the running of day to day tasks.
