We are looking for a bright and driven Senior Accountant to join the Elvie Team. This is a great opportunity for a part qualified accountant who is technically strong (CIMA/ACCA). You’ll be responsible for running the day to day finance as well as being exposed to how a finance function can drive a start-up forward.

Reporting to the Financial Director, you’ll work independently and with the wider Finance Team to gain exposure on everything from Management Accounts to Performance Analysis and KIP reporting to Credit recovery and Operational Finance.

You will work with senior stakeholder and team leads gaining exposure to the whole business. This is a very broad role and will suit anyone who wants to gain hands-on experience, exposure to the financial side of a growing start-up.

What you will do

  • Operational Finance – cash, FX and payments management, credit recovery, working with b2b customers to resolve issues, inventory reporting
  • Performance analysis
  • Manage our accounting platforms such as Xero and Receiptbank
  • Management Accounting & Reporting - help prepare key financial and KPI reports, undertake financial analysis
  • Assist team leads their cost tracking against budgets
  • Responsibility for the accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage the team’s expenses and our digital expenses platform

What you will bring

  • ACCA or CIMA part qualified with 2-3 years practical experience
  • Have experience in international trade
  • Be confident in data handling / analysis in a non-interfaced system environment
  • Have experience in payments, e-commerce and FX platforms (Braintree, Kantox)
  • You’ll bring a “can do” attitude and be proactive in seeking solutions
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce would be a plus!
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills
  • Proven track record of handling and synthesising large amounts of data
  • You must love the idea of working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a difference
  • Have achieved a 2:1 in your bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You must be legally able to work in the UK for this position
