Contract Assistant Accountant job, Birmingham City Centre, up to £22,000 (pro rata)

Your new role
In your new role you will join an integral business function as an Assistant Accountant. Here you will focus on supplier accounts, statements and invoicing. As an Assistant Accountant your day-to-day duties include bank reconciliations, dealing with client queries and the opening/closure of client accounts as well as cash allocation. You will also assist your line manager with ad-hoc duties in relation to credit control and accounts payable team.
What you'll need to succeed
This organisation would like to see an individual who has a minimum of 2-3 years experience of working as an Assistant Accountant preferably within a large blue chip organisation along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment. A keen eye for analysis and attention to detail paired with a desire to learn and develop will also prove successful. You must possess advanced IT/Excel skills to be able to deliver the key attributes of this role.
