The Bodleian Libraries are seeking a full-time Project Accountant to join the busy Accounts team at their base in Central Oxford.

As Project Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial processes of all the research, non-research and Departmental projects currently undertaken by the Bodleian Libraries. Sources of funding are wide-ranging from research organisations to philanthropic donations and trust funds; currently we have in excess of 50 donations and 80 trust funds, which require separate monitoring. You will work closely with colleagues within the Libraries to prepare funding bids, closely monitor expenditure and produce reports, both narrative and financial, to colleagues and funders.

You will hold an accounting qualification such as ACA, CIPFA, ACCA, or CIMA, although applications from part-qualified accountants with relevant financial experience will be considered. Excellent numeracy, IT and communication skills are essential requirements as is attention to detail.

Due to the nature of this post, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check as well as a financial background check. The possession of a criminal record or poor financial background will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

You will be required to upload a supporting statement as part of your online application. Your supporting statement should list each of the essential and desirable selection criteria, as listed in the further particulars, and explain how you meet each one. CVs will not form part of the selection process or be accepted as a substitute for a supporting statement.

Only applications received online by 12.00 midday (BST) on Monday 30 October 2017 can be considered. Interviews are expected to take place in w/c 6 November 2017 or w/c 13 November 2017.
