SGS College’s Finance Department have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Head of Financial Management to join their team. The role, reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for providing financial information that will enable managers to understand performance in their activities in the College and thereby improve financial effectiveness.
The successful candidate will need to be a CCAB qualified Accountant and will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Experience of all aspects of financial control and compliance, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts, financial information, budgets and forecasts
- Management of a mid size Financial Management Team
- Knowledge of the Further Education sector (not essential)
- Report writing
You will have the ability to successfully manage priorities, and be able to work calmly and proactively under pressure, whilst maintaining a strong customer focus. Strong mathematical and IT skills, the ability to adapt quickly, and a keen eye for accuracy are also essential for this role.
