This Fixed Asset Accountant position is within the Group Finance team, which looks after balance sheet management and reporting, the Group's treasury function and the business partnering for international business customers. The purpose of the role is to manage the Fixed Assets department, to account for and take ownership of various areas controlling the quality of information recorded in Fixed Assets Register.

This is Fixed Asset Accountant role will be required to support the Finance Department in ad hoc projects, process improvements, management reporting and other finance related projects driven by the growth of the business but focusing in on Fixed Asset management

  • Taking full responsibility for managing the companies fixed asset Ledger, accounting for all transactions, including but not limited to: processing additions, disposals, reclassifications, lease and hedge transactions, when required
  • Periodic performing of Fixed Assets Month End Closes
  • Ensuring the quality and timeliness of Fixed Asset processes as well as information flowing to the Key Customers
  • Responsibility for executing business projects within Fixed Asset module
  • Periodic preparation of Depreciation Note for MA Pack and reporting of Actuals vs Budget/Reforecast including understanding of differences
  • Responsibility for the Group Depreciation Budget and Reforecasts submissions including understanding of movements
  • Responsibility for Depreciation Budget and Reforecasts, required for Group profit calculation
  • Ownership and responsibility for bi-annual processing of Asset Impairment Review
  • Preparation of Cashflow journal for unpaid AP invoices and Capital accruals
  • Responsibility for the "Intangible Assets" and "Property, Plant and Equipment" disclosure notes, review of both policies and numbers, controlling quality of information.


Fixed Asset Accountant Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • Experience in book keeping or fixed assets role
  • Strong academics; minimum 2,1 at degree level; High grades at A level


  • Part Qual ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Competent Microsoft Word user
  • Some experience of ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Financials)
  • Experience using Hyperion (Planning and Budgeting)
