Finance Lead - Distribution - East Lancashire - 50-60k.


Your new company
Based in East Lancashire my Client are a specialist distributor of product across Europe. A growing and highly profitable organisation they currently have a team of 10 people, in a growth phase the business will be adding roles in various functions over the coming months. Currently operating on a bespoke Microsoft Office package there is a phased transition to a customised Sage 300 ERP application.

Your new role
As Finance Manager you will be a key member of the senior management team. You shall be completely responsible for supervising all aspects of the financial side of the office including day to day accounts, stock control, currency management, sales and purchase ledger management, office infrastructure and producing monthly accounts to trial balance. In addition, you will ensure that related activities in sales and inventory control are in line with documented processes. As Finance lead you shall remain hands on and manage a small team in the office. Cash flow remains key, as does process and procedure alignment. You shall produce the monthly accounts for two companies and support the reporting and risk management of future growth and the opening of further offices across the globe.

What you'll need to succeed
You shall remain a perfectionist with total attention to detail and a natural ability to spot any deviations, understanding impacts on the business. Ideally qualified, ACA ACCA OR CIMA you shall l be involved in personally dealing with and controlling all day to day activity to the highest level and have past experience improving process and procedure. You shall have experience in managing all aspects of a commercial accounting office in a B2B environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience of managing third party relationships such as insurance providers, HMRC, VAT and in particular controlling trade finance / invoice finance systems / partners. You should possess a good working knowledge of Sage ERP or similar and be at a high level of competence with Excel. All in all my Client are looking for a strong and disciplined individual who works well as part of a team but will be in absolute control at all times and have a deep understanding of the impacts and solutions required of any non-conformance.
