Financial Strategy Controller (Manufacturing)
Jonathan Olden in Barden has been engaged by a global leader in specialist devices with multiple, substantive investments in manufacturing and supply chain business units nationally, to identify a key finance leader for a critical strategic business unit.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Leading a team of 4 - 5 qualified accountants this role has site lead responsibility for finance and is the key finance business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
The role will be quite varied but essentially oversees all budgeting, forecasting, analysis and planning activity for this key manufacturing site and uses this information to guide and influence Opex/Capex, investment and associated decision making.
This role is not about producing numbers, it is about using numbers to influence the business and is strategic and relationship based at its core.

ABOUT THE PERSON
- This role is ideally placed for a qualified accountant with circa 5-10 years PQE who has leadership/management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- This is not a traditional accounting role and as such experience in financial planning and analysis in a multinational manufacturing environment is key.
- This role is a first step into the business and it is expected that within an 18-24 month period this person will progress to Finance Director or beyond in the local or global business.
