  • Provide timely and practical advice to BU(s) and other services to support their compliance requirements.
  • Keep BU(s) / SU(s) informed of all regulatory updates from regulators and provide practical advice to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Work closely with relevant BU(s) / SU(s) and other Compliance teams to establish and implement appropriate compliance policies and procedures
  • Assist in the review of New Product / Service Process proposals in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure regulatory requests including but not limited to customer complaints, regulatory enquiries, examination and other ad hoc information requests are properly and timely handled
  • Assess BU/SU's compliance training needs, develop, review and conduct trainings that suit business needs
  • Encourage internal stakeholders to adopt internal controls to efficiently monitor adherence to applicable rules and regulations.
  • Attend periodic BUs/SUs meetings and assist in any other ad-hoc assignments.

  • Degree holder in discipline related to Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Law
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance or audit with exposure to Corporate Banking business.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking and financial sector laws and regulations, compliance best practices and understanding of financial products.
  • Ability to understand the business, analyze the issues and formulate appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to develop a rapport with business but maintaining independence.
  • Sound interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • A team player with strong customer orientation
