Your new role

KPMG's Procurement Advisory practice assists private sector and government clients in defining and implementing specific strategies on how suppliers are selected, contracted and managed to deliver the optimal level of cost, quality and supply to the organisation. The continued success and growth of our Canberra procurement practice has resulted in an opportunity to join our team now and into 2017.

Our procurement specialists play a pivotal role in providing procurement services in order to make a difference for our Defence and Federal Government clients.

As a member of the procurement practice your role is to build and take ownership of key client relationships by working with your team to deliver outcomes. You will provide advanced procurement specialist knowledge, direction and coaching to our clients and junior team members.

You will come to us with the following experience:
  • Experience working within or advising on procurement projects and issues;
  • Experience in commercial advisory and contract management;
  • A commercial and strategic mindset for influencing and advising clients;
  • Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders including with project sponsors and teams;
  • Excellent team work, well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
Australia citizenship is essential (ability to obtain a security clearance). Ideally, hold current (or recently lapsed) security clearance.
