Financial Analyst - Charity/Education Sector - £30,000 - £35,000 per annum - Cheltenham - Hays Accountancy
Hays Accountancy & Finance are being exclusively retained to recruit for a leading educational organisation based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire for an experienced and dynamic Financial Analyst. Initially a 12 month contract, this varied finance opportunity will involve analysing income and expenditure processes, developing financial models and look into cost efficiencies for the business. A newly created role for the organisation, to support the finance function and wider business through growth.
Reporting directly into the Head Of Finance you will analyse income for potential product lines and timesheets, identify fixed assets, cost allocation and collection streams along with financial forecasts, expenditure analysis for the consolidated model. You will be expected to get involved in financial/cost modelling projects using information/data gathering processes, analyse current customer base for future opportunities along with improving systems/processes and assisting with the liaison with auditors to determine tax implications. You will work closely with non-finance in understanding new income streams and resource cost models while assisting in ad-hoc projects of the Head Of Finance.
For this varied and hands-on Financial Analyst role you must have experience within a similar position with strong financial analysis and monthly reporting experience, knowledge of budget planning and preparation along with strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships. It is essential you have strong MS Excel skills to analyse large volumes of complex business information and process improvement skills. It would be advantageous if you have worked in Charity/Education Sector with experience of BI analysis tools and preparation of consolidated group financial statements.
