Robert Half is working exclusively with an international business in the Film, Media and Production industry who are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager. This position is reporting directly into the UK Finance Director and is offering exceptional exposure to the Group and operational leadership team.

This is one of the most commercially focused and exciting roles being recruiting in the South of England, it would ideally suit someone who wanted to work for a media based business with a brilliant brand. This role is predominantly Surrey based but will have occasional travel to London.

This would suit an ambitious, bright and newly qualified accountant looking for a jump up in their career.

The Role

The successful Commercial Finance Manager will take full responsibility for the following:

  • Lead commercial analysis and commercial support on one of the businesses key brands.
  • Review marketing spend and product analysis.
  • Act as the finance manager for a newly acquired division.
  • Add commercial value around new projects through leading pricing and business cases analysis.
  • Lead all commercial support on return on investment.
  • Link in with the Head of FP&A and Group Financial Controller to support on budgets, forecasts and consolidated results.
  • Help support an SAP system role out.
  • Lead and manage a team of three part qualified accountants.

This is a very visible role and will have direct exposure to the marketing and advertising teams.

As this role will also involve acting as a Finance Manager for a key division, therefore it is important that this individual has a strong technical grounding and can deliver on financial reporting and month end management.

Your Profile

The successful Commercial Finance Manager is likely to be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) and have a strong academic background. If you are currently working in audit but can demonstrate strong commercial acumen then this could still be a viable move.

This is very much a fast track role working for an enviable brand so the successful candidate is likely to have a strong confident personality coupled with a strong business partnering background. An interest in film, media and production is beneficial.
