Team Background - Business Platform
The Asia Pacific Business Platform team forms part of the JPMorgan Asset Management business. The team is responsible for supporting the Funds and Institutional Client Services and Sales teams providing oversight and liaison across controls, governance, technology and strategic client initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Project Management

  • Collect and document business requirement for regulatory and strategic projects

  • Coordinate action plans with internal stakeholders

  • Proactively escalate risks and critical issues

  • Partner with Sales, Client Services, project teams and other stakeholders to design and implement solution for business change

  • Partner with Technology in requirement analysis, system rollout, training and post implementation support

  • Develop use cases for control enhancement, process improvement and automation

Risk Assessment & Control

  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Business to assess client impact of regulatory / policy change

  • Identify control gaps, agree remediation plans with stakeholders and drive execution

  • Arrange training for Sales and Client Services for policies, procedures and best practices

  • Support Risk control self assessments (RCSA) including control analysis, sample tests, evidence collection and stakeholder communication

  • Support issues investigation and facilitate internal and external communication

  • Prepare metrics reports and dashboards for management

Initiatives Management

  • Manage several deliverables simultaneously

  • Work with business stakeholders to help define and drive the strategic agenda

  • Deliver appropriate documentation and governance to support various initiatives

Problem Solving

  • Support and conduct clear analysis, logical structuring, and creative problem solving on critical issues

  • Assess risks, costs, and benefits of alternative decisions and approaches

  • Design processes and tools that yield sustainable improvement

  • Proactively identify and addressing risks and opportunities

Communication & Relationships

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate recommendations to impacted stakeholders

  • Clearly articulate initiative goals to stakeholders and collaborators

  • Proactively escalate critical issues with a focus on resolution


  • Understanding of business and management functions in Global Asset Management and/or related financial services industries

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to maintain good stakeholder relationships

  • Proactive in identifying and addressing critical risks and issues

  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands

  • Highly accurate with attention to detail

  • Support and conduct clear analysis, logical structuring and creative problem solving

  • Demonstrate maturity and confidence to work under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Cantonese. Fluency in Mandarin preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Access. Knowledge of macro, database, Qlikview, sharepoint would be an advantage
