Description

  • Responsible to conduct Surveillance for Insurance and Investments products as per RDIP Policy and Insurance Policies
  • Responsible to work in partnership with the business to ensure timely gap analysis and compliance with policies and local regulations impacting investments or insurance products
  • Responsible to oversee the rationale and correct disposition of alerts triggered by exceptions reports and ensure:
    • Correct disposition of alert triggers based on investigation results
    • Documentation of exception findings, tracking of corrective actions and its completion at individual alert level and at review level
    • Conclusions are well written and supported by research and analyses
    • Targets / Turnaround Time achieved in a timely manner
    • Prepare trend analysis and surveillance reports for management reporting
    • Provide feedback and corrective actions
  • Continuously seek process improvement to enhance efficiency of the surveillance monitoring process, and to address process/compliance gaps
  • Lead and manage the review of parameters for Investment & Insurance Surveillance reports
  • Lead and manage the Investment Surveillance Governance Forum, ensure that Chapter, minutes
  • Support self-assessment exercise (Manager's Control Assessment) and Annual Risk Assessment exercise (ARA) for Retail Bank Wealth Management Unit
  • Perform Risk Control Matrix (RCM) activities for Retail Bank
  • Manage and investigate investments and insurance customer complaints for Branch Channel including preparing monthly reports for management reporting
  • Lead and coordinate the Mystery Shopping Exercise for Retail Bank
  • Perform Product Control activities including review of product program, sales and marketing materials and process enhancements
  • Conduct annual refresher training and mandatory new hire training
  • Represent the unit in audit reviews
  • Point of contact for I&I sales process matters


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Consumer Banking industry i.e. Investment and Insurance products
  • Excellent judgment and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills:
    • Confident, concise, clear and impactful
    • Written and oral formats, including presentations to audiences ranging from senior managers, regulators, auditors to analysts as evidenced by the ability to concisely and meaningfully explain and support research conclusions, both in written and verbal formats
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Effective people manager and highly proficient multitasker
