Due to a maternity leave absence this organisation is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager this broad role will be responsible for:

  • Reconciliations - Balance Sheet Accounts, Clearing Accounts, General Ledger, Stock Accounts
  • Assisting with Month end reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of End of Year Financial Statements
  • Prepare journals as required
  • Preparation of BAS returns
  • Supporting the delivery of management reporting
  • General support within the Finance Department including assisting in the preparation of FBT returns, Fixed Asset Register
  • Provide back-up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CA/CPA qualified or working toward
  • Proven minimum 2-3 years experience in an accounting & finance role
  • Good time management skills and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent Excel spreadsheet and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service delivery skills essential
  • Knowledge of SAGE and crystal reporting experience will be viewed favourably
