Progressive PQ Management Accountant - £25000 + Benefits based locally in Southampton.

Your new role
To be part of a busy finance team based in the head office in Central Southampton. Providing comprehensive finance service and support at a time of significant growth and change for the organization. The role would suit a progressive up & comer looking to move into, or extend their management accounts experience.

Main Duties & Responsibilities to include:

  • Produce the month end accounts to tight reporting deadlines including posting regular journals
  • Work with Managers and Directors to understand and report on variance to budget and forecast
  • Produce monthly reporting pack
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Finance business partner for Housing
  • Housing accounting, reconciliations including support with debt management
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Assist with annual external audit
  • Support and cover for Finance Manager and other team members as required
  • Critically review, recommend and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external financial controls and policies
  • Any other duties as maybe reasonably requested

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Excel
  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA
  • Have excellent attention to detail


What you'll get in return
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Incremental Holiday increase up to 25 Days + Bank
