Your new company

Based in the International HQ located close to High Wycombe, this individual will be working in conjunction with the Finance Director to support the European Region. This incorporates all aspects of regular month end reporting, budgeting, planning and ad-hoc financial analysis and will suit a high ambitious, driven and commercial accountant.

Your new role

The job holder will be responsible for preparation of a weekly sales flash, month end reporting, budget management and analysis, with a particular emphasis on sales and expenses. They will also work with international teams to ensure that quarterly financial targets are met and the budgets are well managed and communicated. Acting as a business partner to the commercial teams, the job holder will need to demonstrate commercial acumen, be able to challenge the business and make a real and positive contribution to the UK and international Regions.

The job holder will also provide support to the Finance team including ad-hoc analysis, reporting and consolidation of the total region's results. Critical to the success of the role will be the job holder's ability to build positive working relationships where they can challenge and contribute as a "business person" as well as a Finance practitioner.

An essential part of the success of this role is being able to work well with the International Finance team through collaboration, best practice sharing and support. Strong communication skills are crucial as the team (finance and commercial) is based across Europe.

What you'll need to succeed

Education & Experience:

Degree Educated
Fully Qualified accountant. CIMA, ACA, ACCA (First time passes preferred)
Some post qualification experience (preferred but not essential)
Experience of financial planning in a multi-divisional and international organisation (preferred)
Evidence of commercial awareness.
Strong Excel skills.

High degree of accuracy with an extremely good attention to detail.
Well organised and able to prioritise during time pressured periods.
Ability to build positive working relationships where challenge and contribution is the norm.
Responsive and proactive.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
