This role will:


  • Manage multiple MNC IARCS clients under the MNC Directors' guidance and components of large scale IARCS engagements from a quality assurance perspective.

  • Support the MNC Director to comply with all Risk Management policies and procedures on all IARCS engagements.

  • Manage the MNC staff members on engagements, from reviewing work paper, attending client meetings to coaching and performance development.

  • Manage multi-firm resource requests through effective PMO management.

  • Support the MNC Director in Business Development (BD) activities to achieve specific revenue target and deliver profit realization in line with KPIs. Key activities include setting up and attending BD client meetings, tracking MNC BD next steps, producing KPI reports and organising bi-annual MNC roundtable events.

Performance


  • Manage multiple and concurrent complex IARCS engagements, delivering results of own client portfolio through the management of the MNC team and possibly with the contribution of cross-divisional/group specialists.

  • Effectively manage multiple resource requests from overseas offices in a PMO capacity through timely resource identification, client and internal risk management, and administration activities including CV collection and billing.

  • Understands the commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement including managing fee-proposals, multi-firm resource requests and work above budget

  • Manages and monitors the achievements of financial targets for team members working on the engagement and provides guidance and direction to help maximize the financial results.

  • Apply innovative and creative techniques in solving complex problems on client engagements and is able to suggest and implement process improvements that continue to add value to the client.

  • Quickly establishes a high level of stakeholder engagement and is able to hold the role of a general advisor for clients and is seen as an expert on own specialism.

  • With highly developed negotiation skills, takes the lead in negotiations with clients about fee-proposals, overruns and team members assigned to the project.

  • Uses networks effectively to ensure awareness of a variety of information that impacts the engagement and is able to integrate the information whilst still considering the broader impact of issues on an engagement.

  • Takes the initiative to drive forward improvements in performance and processes on the engagement and in the wider business.

  • Attending client meetings, confidently presents reports/findings to senior client executives, demonstrating strong communication and impact skills and commercial understanding.

  • Takes ownership and responsibility of engagement lock up.

Clients and Business Development


  • Support the MNC Director in Business Development (BD) activities to achieve specific revenue target and deliver profit realization in line with KPIs. Key activities include setting up and attending BD client meetings, tracking MNC BD next steps, producing KPI reports and organising bi-annual MNC roundtable events.

  • Applies the KPMG Business Development Framework and demonstrates the business development actions required.

  • Develops revenue growth and profitability for both existing client relationships and new clients.

  • Builds relationships with a broad range of clients over time and assists other team members by introducing them to these contacts.

  • Specialises and maintains a specific Line of Business (LOB) focus, being aware of market trends, competitor activity and products services.

  • Uses knowledge of KPMG's broad service offerings to identify and make internal referrals.

  • Takes a lead on proposals and qualifying opportunities by driving and coordinating input from across divisions to develop a compelling differentiated value proposition.

  • Identifies and sells new work to new or existing clients

  • Begins to develop strategies to take a particular product or service to market

  • Acts as a constructive leader and coach by participating in relevant culture and engagement initiatives, developing realistic actions that will increase own blue leadership styles and contributes to building and enhancing The Firm's culture.

  • Develops, motivates and counsels MNC team members within the engagement teams, bringing clarity to the work of the team, focusing their effort and commitment evaluating performance and providing timely feedback.

  • Enables career progression for high-potential MNC team members by identifying development needs and provides guidance and knowledge to assist those people to further increase their skill set

  • Has strong skills in 'managing upwards'. i.e. managing the time and expectations of Director and Partners.

  • Supports Firm and practice training by providing knowledge for development and delivery of training and contributes to the learning of others.

  • Provides timely and meaningful face-to-face and written feedback that helps people build on strengths and formulate plans to address career development needs.

  • Meets firm deadlines during the performance management cycles for self and people, inclusive of goal setting, engagement reviews, interim and year-end reviews.

  • May perform the role of Performance Development Manager for people at Manager level and below, taking an active role in managing and assisting with counselees performance throughout the year, including participating in providing feedback and input to the Performance Review process.

  • Is able to recognise under perforrnance of people and proactively addresses performance issues

Minimum qualifications


  • Relevant University degree

  • Relevant certifications-CA, CIA or equivalent

  • Postgraduate qualifications desirable

Experience


  • 10+ years business experience within a professional services and/or relevant industry firm focused on Multi-National corporations. Consumer Markets, Industrial Manufacturing or Energy and Natural Resources experience, preferred

  • Experience in performing and leading risk-based Internal Audit, Internal Controls assessments, and SOX effectiveness testing. Operational process design and improvement, Internal Audit Evaluation (K'Sprint), Continuous Auditing and Monitoring experience, and soft controls experience, preferred.
