Description

The Finance Assistant role will suit someone who is looking to kick-start their career in Finance, and is serious about developing their skills for the future.

The role involves;

  • Production of sales invoices
  • Production of daily banking, understanding and assisting in cashflow production and forecasting
  • Processing Sundry credit card payments
  • Make daily collection calls
  • Ensure customers settle invoices within company policy
  • Credit checks
  • Maintenance of accurate debtor and creditor ledgers
  • Assist management accountant with integrated transactions, balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc month end requirements
  • Liaison with budget holders regarding outstanding purchase invoices and sales debts.
  • Ensure all purchase/sales invoices adhere to internal processing
  • Handle supplier, customer or internal staff queries as efficiently as possible
  • Producing monthly payment runs or ensuring occasional ad hoc payment are made in good time
  • Management of standing orders or direct debits
  • Responsible for office petty cash transactions and reconciling on a monthly basis
  • Developing a strong working knowledge of the purchase invoice accounting software being able to champion all queries and processes as a result

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Finance Assistant role will;

  • be serious about starting a "Career" in Finance. Training and development will be provided so this will really suit someone who wants to learn and progress.
  • ideally be studying, or wanting to study, a professional Finance qualification such as, AAT, CIMA, ACCA.
  • be looking for a fun and sociable environment
  • ideally have a passion for sport
