Purpose Of Role:            

The AML Shared Services department provides a series of services to State Street Global Services in EMEA including Know Your Customer (KYC), Ongoing Screening, Data management etc. Senior Associate ensures that agreed policies, procedures and SLAs are met. He is responsible for a team of associates in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of service to State Street EMEA sites

Specific Duties:

  • Provide day-to-day servicing and administration of allocated Customers in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with procedures and performance standards
  • Deliver and monitor department key performance indicators
  • Act as a first point of contact of escalations to resolve customer, internal and/or external queries related to processes, reporting etc.
  • Enable a culture of continuous improvement of our processes and workflows by proactively working with others to identify areas for improvement and suggesting solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and other stakeholders, ensuring the service provided is of high standard and with agreed timeframes
  • Produce any reports and management information on an as needed basis
  • Lead, motivate develop a team of associates
  • Conduct regular reviews of team members performance and manage under performance
  • Support Line Manager and others with ad hoc requests, projects or routine duties


Specific Qualifications / Skills:

  • Ability to interpret anti-money laundering policies, procedures and laws and put into practice,
  • Ability to train staff on the application of new procedures and policies,
  • Ability to engage with senior managers from different State Street sites in EMEA and locally communicating confidently, effectively and clearly in both written and verbal forms,
  • Can flex and adjust to different reporting requirements of various State Street sites,
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills,
  • Ability to supervise other staff and to participate in the process to ensure work is completed accurately and on time,
  • Ability to perform effectively to strict deadlines,
  • Good language skills in English and one or more of the following languages: French, German, Italian, or Dutch.
