The Senior Operational Risk Manager will have oversight of the operational risks associated with Operations, Services and Technology across the Asia Pacific region and will have responsibility for reviewing and challenging risk and control assessments, control monitoring, execution activities, issues and actions relating to material control weaknesses, and material internal operational risk events. The incumbent will be required to challenge Risk and Control Owners where operational risks are not being effectively managed, will support the execution of scenario analysis and challenge Risk and Control Owners and the First Line of Defence on implementing and using the operational risk management framework and the Group's operational risk management system, engaging in key management initiatives to ensure that operational risk exposures are considered and addressed. The Senior Operational Risk Manager will also perform independent reviews, provide assurance that key controls are designed and operating effectively and help business growth within Risk Appetite and be a trusted partner to the business.
The successful candidate will be a degree holder with at least 6 years' experience working in the financial sector in a role within or related to Risk Management. Applicants will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of Operational Risk, ideally with experience related to Financial Crime Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, Information Security, Technology Risk as well as Operations, People, Legal and Finance. Candidates will need to have the ability to drive change, challenge and influence senior executive thinking and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
