Hays Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for an growing and well-established Horticultural Organisation based in Tetbury, Gloucestershire for a hands-on and dynamic Finance Manager. Reporting into the Managing Director and supporting the Group Accountant, this is a varied and busy finance position where you can really add value to an growing business.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve managing all finance processes for the company including calculating/posting prepayments, accruals, journals along with running profit and loss, balance sheets reconciliations, depreciations and completing sales analysis reports. You will be expected to calculate quarterly VAT, update and maintain fixed assets register, process sales/purchase ledger, manage cash-flows and banking along with ad-hoc reporting/projects for the Managing Director. This is a great opportunity where you can really improve/implement finance processes to improve the accounting department.

What you'll need to succeed

For this hands-on Finance Manager opportunity, you must have experience within a similar accounting role and be used to managing your own work-loads towards time-constraint deadlines. Strong communication skills are essential along with being able build relationships internally/externally. This role is open to finance professionals who are qualified/part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience. It would be advantageous if you have experience within Sage finance packages and have worked within the Horticultural sector previously.
