Based in East Lancashire, my Client, engaged exclusively with Hays to source their Finance Lead, work closely with Blue Chip businesses and large retail organisations across the UK. Firmly established, with state of the art manufacturing facilities they are a market leader and employer of choice. The business is situated over Multi sites across the North West and a recent change of management means the SMT have a refreshed proposition and are seeking to further build on the firm footing of a highly successful organisation.
Your new role
As Senior Financial Controller you shall report directly to the Managing Director and remain the number one in Finance. The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. You shall oversee the cost controls and accounting of three sites in the north, based from the East Lancashire head office. Managing all compliance, the small team and producing detailed financial reporting you shall business partner throughout the business and represent finance in the monthly board meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
As a leader, qualified in Finance with CIMA, ACA or ACCA you shall be focused on delivering results. Able to produce timely financial results you shall also have an impact on the bottom line of the business through experience in a senior position. You shall have a highly commercial mentality and have a proven track record in a similar business, ideally manufacturing or engineering. Working closely with the senior management team you shall also be prepared to partner in a challenging manufacturing environment and be able to influence cost saving initiatives as well as enhancing the board pack detail. Supporting a small team you shall also have experience mentoring finance staff and developing systems and procedures to streamline a department. Driven to enhance financial detail you shall be a progressive and highly astute finance professional.
