Your new company
Based in the Lancashire region, between Preston and Bolton, this manager owned business have been established for many years. Within the construction, waste and property sector they have a newly created opportunity to join a focused and driven senior management team. With further growth planned in the north and a highly recognisable name they are set for leading the field in a competitive market.

Your new role
As Financial Controller you shall oversee the finance function and manage a small team. You shall look to streamline process and improve procedure in order to pull together timely management accounts and the MI for senior management. As a key member of the team you shall provide KPI reporting and cost controls to further strengthen the profitability of the business. A truly varied role you shall work closely with the commercial, managing and operations directors to deliver cost initiative programmes and deliver results through analysis of financial and commercial data. As financial controller the year end process and liaison with auditors remains your responsibility, as does the preparation and collation of various new reports to provide insight on production throughout the business. You shall take the lead on various projects within the business and ensure the ledgers, payroll and general finance administration is completed within the team.

What you'll need to succeed
You shall have a proven rack record within an SME environment as a strong financial controller. You shall hold a relevant qualification, CIMA, ACA or ACCA and be prepared to roll up your sleeves in a varied role. You shall have experience in a similar role and be able to split your time over a number of platforms whilst hitting deadlines. You shall also have experience improving process and procedure and seek to deliver cost controls in the business.
