Job Description

* Ensure compliance with the Group's financial reporting policies and reporting requirements
* Deliver half year and year end local financial statements in accordance with HK Accounting Standards and the Banking Disclosure requirements
* Implement new accounting standards and disclosure requirements
* Ensure an effective and efficient internal control system is in place for financial reporting
* Review quarterly IFRS packs submitted to the Group
* Prepare financial statements for the Bank and its subsidiaries
* Provide accounting advice to internal stakeholders
* Participate in UAT to ensure that financial reporting requirements are addressed
* Identify areas to improve efficiency and quality of financial reporting; This may involve planning and implementing necessary changes and system enhancements
* Address issues with internal and external auditors

Qualifications and Skills

* Qualified accountant with over 7 years' relevant working experience in banking services
* Knowledge of banking products and transaction processing systems and general ledger processes
* Ability to perform requirement gathering and analysis independently
* Ability to work in an organised way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data, and achieve deadlines
* Inter-personal skills which are sufficiently well developed
* Good communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex messages quickly and succinctly to various senior stakeholders
* High levels of drive and resilience along with attention to detail
