Our office is located in Tokyo's core business district Marunouchi, housing Societe Generale's three entities in Japan: Societe Generale Tokyo Branch, Societe Generale Securities Services and Lyxor Asset Management.

Major Accountabilities / Principal Responsibilities:

Primary Objective

  • Assist in the management of loan portfolio of the real estate and structured finance portfolio
  • Monitor risk profile of real estate files
  • Provide assistance and support to the front office teams on transactions before, during and after closing
  • Provide assistance to the back office teams on transactions during and after closing
  • Monitor performance of customers including preparation of portfolio reviews and covenant compliance
  • Ensure that all credit approval criteria have been complied with
  • Provide information and appropriate assistance to the front/back office as required
  • Analysis of monthly management accounts, covenant compliance certificates, budgets, annual accounts
  • Monitor defaults
  • Reporting to management on various aspects of the portfolio
  • Adherence to bank and departmental procedures. In particular, this covers permanent supervision controls and operating procedures
  • Liaise with and instructing valuers
  • Update financial models
  • Control waterfall payments and accounts
  • Agency function and management


Key Skill Areas & Knowledge Required:

  • Strong knowledge of real estate finance
  • Experience in credit, agency or loan portfolio administration department
  • Legal skills
  • Fluent Japanese and English (especially writing)
  • High standard of credit analysis skills, in depth understanding of syndicated facility agreements
