Recovery & Resolution - Banking
Your new company
One of the world's premier banking conglomerates, and a frequent employee of choice for banking professionals.
Your new role
If you are looking to develop your exposure to regional and global regulations, then we have a perfect opportunity for you.
One of our clients, a top tier global bank, is currently looking for liquidity/capital adequacy professionals with a strong understanding of banking balance sheet. This is not a production role, but rather a newly created role which takes capital adequacy to the next level by utilising your superior stakeholder skills to help implement contingency strategies in case of crisis.
What to expect
The role holder will be joining a new team within the bank that has been set up to respond to new regulations that have been put in place that relate to balance sheet capital adequacy planning and contingency. The successful candidate will use their strong knowledge of balance sheets to not only be involved in the capital adequacy recovery planning phase, but then also take it to the next level by developing resolution plans for the bank in the event of crisis.
This role requires a great deal of stakeholder engagement, from internal stakeholders to multiple external regulatory stakeholders (MAS, Bank of England). Therefore, strong interpersonal skills are key to this role. You must also have a very good understanding of how a balance sheet operates, particularly in terms of how it links with all areas of the business. Stress testing experience is not required, but would be beneficial.
What you'll get in return
In this role, you will be working closely with the Bank's global regulatory team, given you exposure and a wider understanding of global regulatory requirements including BoE, HKMA etc. This role will ensure that you are always staying ahead of the pack when it comes to being an industry expert on global banking regulations.
