Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting for a leading services organisation for an dynamic and experienced Cost Analyst, to join their expanding and hard-working Finance Function in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of an flexible tool to understand the organisations costs of products and services. You will be expected to understand cost structures and activities related to cost centres along with how cost is incurred. You will identify process changes for accurate cost allocation and develop the relevant drivers where appropriate. Working alongside the systems accountant, you will provide support for the implementation of new ERP systems, and make recommendations for efficiencies along with ad-hoc financial projects.
What you'll need to succeed
For this permanent Cost Analyst position you will need experience within a similar finance role with strong financial analyst skills and key communication to explain complex accounting concepts to non-accounting customers. It is essential you have excellent IT skills including advanced MS Excel, have used ERP systems previously and have the ability to focus on detail, while being able to see the bigger picture. This role is open to finance professionals working towards completion of an accountancy qualifications (ACCA/CIMA) or candidates who are qualified by experience. It would be advantageous if you have experience in Netsuite and have used enterprise planning solutions previously (i.e.: Adaptive Insights).
