Business Overview:
JPMorgan Asset Management ("JPMAM") provides investment management products and services to institutional and individual investors worldwide. Position Overview:
As an AM APAC Business Management Associate, you will support the APAC Institutional Client Group and the AM APAC CEO. This is a highly visible role which will allow you to build a comprehensive understanding of the Asset Management business. To be successful, you need to possess the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels. You will also need to be proactive and action-oriented with strong analytical skills as well as a proven ability for problem-solving.
 
Main Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with senior management (CEO, Country Heads, and Institutional Business Heads) in the Asset Management business in driving regional business strategy and initiatives


  • Establish strong working relationships with all business partners throughout the Asset Management organization - across functions and geographies, to ensure coordinated efforts and alignment across key initiatives and execution


  • Drive content and coordination for key strategic offsites (Townhalls, Operating Committees, etc.) and business reviews


  • Create presentations and perform analyses for executive management business and regulatory reviews as well as preparing for various industry conferences and speaking engagements (both internal and external)


  • Work in conjunction with risk and control functions to ensure the strengthening of risk management and controls of the business
Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree; CFA preferred


  • 5+ years experience in the financial industry - ideally with exposure to business management; management consulting experience highly desirable


  • Strong business acumen with excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills


  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to ambiguity (with a high-level of independence)


  • Extremely organized with sharp attention-to-detail in producing high-quality work products


  • Maturity and exceptional interpersonal skills - ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels (including senior management) and across cultures


  • Articulate in written and verbal communication, native to fluent written and spoken English, Chinese language (Mandarin) skill a major plus


  • Superb computer skills - PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
